What We’re About
The Liberation Brick is a labor of love and community. This is an ongoing and multifaceted project seeking to celebrate, build community with, and collect resources benefiting LGTBQ+ people. Our community is constantly made to feel like we don’t have a place in this world, and there are people working tirelessly to make sure that we don’t. If we are to survive we need to take some key lessons from the Stonewall Uprising and the Civil Rights Movement. More specifically, we need to lay bricks and build together, but also be ready to throw them if civil resistance fails.
Help support transgender and non-binary art! Featuring photos of trans and non-binary drag performers local to the Connecticut scene. In order of appearance we have Harmony the Valkyrie, Ambrosia Black, Mia E Z’lay, Moxie Angel, Lady Tatiana, Epilogue, Operetta Waltz, Amaris the Valkyrie, Perry Winkle, Arachne, Carina Concealed Weapon, Vessel, Spencer Scarlett, Rory Roux Lay, Graveyard Brat, Mr. Aloquacious J. Magpie, and Cloaca the Valkyrie. Proceeds of these calendars are going to help keep the website running, to performers directly, and then additional proceeds will go to the queer youth organization Qplus. Following the sale of 35 calendars, to recoup the costs of creating the calendars and the website, the profit of the following 35 calendars of this run will go to support Qplus.
